Daytona International Speedway, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, has a storied history dating back to its opening in 1959. It gained fame as the home of the Daytona 500, one of the most prestigious races in NASCAR, and has hosted countless thrilling racing events, including the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the Daytona 200 for motorcycle racing. Over the years, the track has undergone numerous renovations, solidifying its status as a premier racing facility and a symbol of Daytona Beach's association with motorsports.
The Daytona Dirty Ducks, despite facing challenges over the years, have remained a resilient force in the league. In 2018, they achieved a respectable 7-6 record, making it to the semifinals and finishing in 3rd place, showcasing their competitive spirit. However, subsequent seasons saw them facing tougher times, with missed playoffs in 2019 and 2020, leaving them at the bottom of the standings in 2021. A unique tradition of taking a picture in booty shorts as punishment for their last-place finish added a humorous touch to their journey. In 2022, they made strides, securing a 5-7 record and reaching the quarterfinals, proving that the Dirty Ducks are determined to rise from adversity.
